FIT FILM CHALLENGE PHASE 2

I'm loving this challenge series. It combines two of my very favorite things: exercise and everything comic book.

I'm making a change to how the challenge is delivered for this phase. For the next 6 movies, we will be assigning one exercise to one cue for each film. I'm splitting up the body across the week with the goal of totally exhausting one muscle group per day until we bring it all together for the Avengers: Age of Ultron.

There are 3 levels: Sidekick, Hero, and Avenger. The variation of the exercise will progress with each level.

Stick with me and we'll get through this the only way we can: together.

IRON MAN 3

Every time some says "Mandarin"

Sidekick Level: 5 Squats

Hero Level: 10 Squats

Avenger Level: 10 Lunges per Leg

THOR 2: THE DARK WORLD

Every time any character say "the Aether"

Sidekick Level: 10 Rows

Hero Level : 10 Single Arm Rows

Avenger Level: 10 Single Arm Rows with a 3 second lowering phase

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER

Every time any character says "Bucky",

Sidekick Level: 5 Hip Thrusts

Hero Level : 10 Hip Thrusts

Avenger Level: 10 Single Leg Hip Thrusts per leg

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

When any character says "I am Groot"

Sidekick Level: 5 Push Ups

Hero Level: 10 Push Ups

Avenger Level: 10 Feet Elevated Push Ups

BONUS: Cry when Groot says "We are Groot"

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2

When any character says "Peter"

Sidekick Level: 2 Sit Ups

Hero Level: 5 Sit Ups

Avenger Level: 5 V-Ups

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

This film you'll do each exercise at major plot points. Try to do the given number of reps with as little rest as possible. You should have plenty of time before the next plot point.

  • 30 push ups when Tony takes the scepter

  • 30 lunges when Ultron is born

  • 30 single arm rows when Vision is born

  • 50 hip thrusts when the Avengers return to Sokovia

  • 50 crunches when Thor says "Is that the best you can do?"

  • 20 deadbugs when Scarlet Witch confronts Ultron
